tanh

tanh (num)​

The tanh function returns the hyperbolic tangent of num:

tanh⁡(x)=ex−e−xex+e−x.\displaystyle \tanh (x)=\frac{e^{x}-e^{-x}}{e^{x}+e^{-x}}.

In complex expressions, num is complex, and tanh(num) returns a complex value.
